As my title says, today was a good day. Of course there are still some thoughts that make my mind a little uneasy but a lot of good things happened today. It was a very busy day too and I was exhuasted by the time I got home. I took a very long nap (lol) but I really needed it.
Anyways, the morning began pretty early for me which was nice. I want to get up earlier than I have been. 6.00am has been the typical morning wake up time for this summer (How crazy!)
So, the morning started off good but I felt a little lazy. The morning sky looked very dark and it was pretty blatant that it was going to rain. The clouds and slight wind did keep it a little cool this morning while we waited for the kids to be dropped off.
Because it's Thursday, a lot of the projects are almost finished. It's so cool to see what the kids have done and how determined they are with their projects.
In Classroom A the Kaleidascopes are almost done and the Sun Dials are.
In Classroom B they have made all kinds of ink prints, stencil and stamp designs.
In Classroom C they have learned many dancing routines of the Swing, Jazz and Folk dancing kind.
Lots of learning, but lots of fun too. The projects are super cool! (○^▽^○) It's very impressive.
Today there was a few problems between the kids, some rowdiness and I had to get a little loud to get them to stop. It's hardly that I have to actually yell at them but two of the kids just simply haven't been getting along at all. That makes things tough but one boy does not understand that he has to ignore the other, they are both instigators so we have had them seperated.
Things got straightened out though and of course they were both a little angry after they had to be spoken to. That settled though because the last class was too interesting not too have fun in. I spoke to them both and I think that helped a lot, after they had to be disciplined a little.
The dances that the kids have been learning are so cute too. None of the boys wanted to participate this time (and neither did I!) the dance routine was very girly. It involved "shaking your booty" which made the boys go "ewww!!" and moving your hips which got the same reaction.
The boys sat in the chairs lined up by the wall and everytime the girls began (which started with "shaking your booty") the boys went "eww cover your eyes! Don't look!" ヾ(@゜▽゜@)ノ あはは〜 It was really funny and cute, so innocent in most ways.
The girls all became very sassy with the dance and it was cute how into the dance they became. A lot of them had the most fun in this class.
I also came across a situation that made me nervous in a way, rather it surprised me. So, during the dance class the boys were talking to each other. Over the music and just quietly I could hear them talking, which I need to keep track of anyways.
One of the boys was saying
"Gay. No man that's gay! Eww..if you liked a boy that's gay..oh because I was going to say!"
I turned around instantly because that's inappropriate talk but I was only hearing pieces of it.
One of the two boys listenining then asked
"What's gay mean?"
and the boy who had been talking responded
"You don't want to know."
The kids in my group are all about 7 (just turned) and 8 years old. It was surprising to hear such talk but also the other boys reaction was so innocent. It proves a point though, that standards and expectations are learned by the enviroment. Quite young too. They stopped talking after that so I didn't stay anything but it certainly wasn't appropriate and for boys they are all mostly innocent sweethearts.
I made some projects myself in the last class which got me a lot of compliments from the kids. It was surprising! *laugh* I made something else for Shou and then just like a memory type thing because I don't think I'll go back next week. It's been fun but I need to finish my assignment too and Shou will be here soon.
I will take pictures of my projects tomorrow when I bring them home.
Other than that, it rained a lot today and all of the lunches were in the classrooms as well as snack. I preferred it because I could sit with my group of twelve kids as opposed to thirty-eight kids outside. I sat with them and they sat in my lap and were all being silly. The age group I have is very cute, still young but old enough to hold a conversation, understand directions and for the most part, listen to authority without being rebellious. Group Yellow. But I can't give their ages the credit because all the kids I have had so far have been really sweet.
When I got home I pretty much passed out, I was so sleepy and was siting for Shou to message me. I became a little worried when I didn't hear anything but she thankfully messaged me just a bit ago. Makes me very nervous but I assumed the storms and was right.
So, I feel rested from the nap and also saw 東方神起 pictures from a new magazine. They are so so cute! ユチュンはかっこ好い ♥ ! I was really impressed. They all looked so handsome and the setting of the photos was really cute too.

Handsome yes? I thought they both looked the most striking in this photoshoot.
My mom also surprised my sister and I by giving us a "congratulations on passing" type card. It just said things like "I am proud of you for your grades, hard work and determination, you will go far.."
It was a nice change, we don't share those kinds of feelings with each other here it seems because they are expected. My mom is also very busy usually so it was nice to recieve. She is also giving us a little bit of spending money but to be honest I'm not sure if I'll spend it quickly or anything. I should probably hold onto it.

Dinner was also great and so that completes a rather great day. Tonight I want to:
- Read Crime and Punishment
- Clean up
- Study some Japanese
- Speak with Shou
