Tuesday Begins

Well, technically it's ending already but you get the idea! Today was really the beginning of my week, it began another session of volunteering. When I got up this morning though I was really not feeling like going ( ̄へ ̄). I got up later than I wanted and I always feel like, if I get up late that my whole day is going to be unpleasant!Do you know what I mean though? It's like..if you don't start the day right it will just be bad. So, after a lot of talk I decided it was best to go. When I got there, it was a little awkward with the new kids but once we were placed in our new groups everything was great again.
The first day of orientation each Tuesday is always a little strange because everyone is still meeting each other and adjusting. By the end of the day though, I felt very comfortable and very attached to my group. (´∀`) So, instead of only going half of the week..I think I -must- go for the whole week *laugh*
So, I am still with the same age group but there are some new kids. I have another volunteer with me (the same girl) and twelve kids. They are all really cool and interesting. I had a fun time today. Everything went very smooth and one of the teachers is my photography teacher from this past school year! She put me to work for her very comfortably *laugh* So, I felt very busy during the first class and it was really odd tasks. Cutting bottles and skewer sticks with scissors. My hands hurt a bit and so did the other volunteers *ha*
This week the theme is not a particular one. More like...the "Science of Art."
Classroom A- (My photo teacher) Making Kaleidascopes and Sun DialsClassroom B- Photo printing with ink and a roller!Classroom C- Dancing class (Swing, folk music, Disco)Hmm..maybe a little about the kids this time. They all are very interesting and cooperative really. The boys are really cute and sweet (there are about five in the group compared to the girls). A very small story because I thought it was amusing..So, in the dancing class they had to think of every day activities and then turn those actions into dance moves. I had to sort of monitor two groups and the other volunteer the other group. The first group was all boys and the second all girls. Well, the boys aren't usually very open with me right away. They kind of seem shy and nervous in general with the teen volunteers. So, I went over to them and sat down and that changed very quickly. They were all very talkative wanting to let me know there amazing ideas. Ian was like
"Okay, I want to do soccer and...bomb throwing!!"
I was like "Ehh? Do you do that in your everyday life Ian?""Yeah in video games duh."
Made me laugh, such a typical boy thing. The others picked like "riding a roller coaster, fishing, baseball, etc.."
Relatively normal past times, you know? Except of course one of them was like "What about making farting noises with your leg?"
The instructor gave him this odd expression and I just laughed because the other kids were saying "gymnastics, swimming, etc.."
All the instructors are super cool, very much into having the volunteers participate and getting to know us, by seting us to do things to help the class. It's a good feeling because it makes me feel more comfortable with them as well. We should all work together in a sort of harmony.
I made an ink painting for Shou but it got rather messed up. It's the thought that counts though right? *laugh* (●>v<●)
So, other than that..I have a few things on my mind lately. The most important are:
Today I also have the feeling that I want to go excercise a little. I might run over there in a few actually. I feel like my arms are a little weaker (had to carry some heavy things today) and that's no good! So, that is also a goal too. To work out a little more because I've cut my eating but also my excercise which is no good.
私はユチュンが素敵とおもいます.
Even Shou said so! It must be the apocalypse coming (haha).ラベル: Art Camp, Session 5

So, you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul,
instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.
You learn that you really can endure,
that you really are strong, and you really do have worth.
You learn and learn, with every goodbye you learn.
Scream your name
Your thoughts, and your cries. Be nice.
Tagboard here, I like shoutmix.com. It can be 100% in width, the height you can put it as whatever. Best if the style is "wide"
