Power Outage

So, the storms here have been pretty bad recently. Lots of wind and rain with sometimes heavy lightening.
I don't mind the rain at all, or the overcast weather, but of course lightening can be dangerous so that is troublesome.
Last night and as well as yesterday during school though, it was mostly heavy wind and rain. Last night when I was on the phone with Shou, it was raining and then began to lightening.
I went to sleep and the weather had conditions like this. Sometime early in the morning, I think around 3.00 or so, I woke up randomly. Kept on trying to turn on my light and it wouldn't turn on. I heard my mom in the livingroom and she told me the power had gone out.
I was like "Oh really?" and had three cookies while watching her grab candles (what a reaction ne hah)
I layed back down and she was talking to me while I was sleeping. I heard things like:
"Here's a flashlight, take this flashlight."
"uhh..mhm okke."
"The school's number is on the counter in case they close, okay?"
"uhh mhm..okke."
"I am going to work in a half an hour, okay?"
"Yeah, yeah sure."
I was half asleep through all of it and just went back to bed hoping the power would be back on.
Thankfully, it did and in fact it woke me up when it did. Just a little story for this morning (lol) I feel fortunate. There is a lot of flooding elsewhere, which is really no good. Some schools in Daytona are flooded, like elementaries mainly.
It is supposed to rain for the whole rest of the week too and Shou said into next week. That's no surprise though, I just hope it lets up a little by next week.
Today I don't have too many goals really. I have to go to my dad's this weekend which, is nice and also kind of a pain in the butt. I will be happy to see him though, it's been a long time. I have that photography project I need to finish up on too. I want to go to the gym tonight probably and...well, study some Japanese probably. Talk with Shou and just chill.
Overall, sounds like a pretty good day to me.
