Thinking..Thinking..Thinking..

So today has been a day about relaxation and thought. I need to still study tonight for my English test and I have been looking a lot into the ELT programs but it had made my head hurt looking so much into them.My AP European History teacher is now trying to help prepare everyone more for college and I feel somewhat a loss. I mean, I certaintly had ideas and tomorrow I have a number I can call to schedule an appointment with someone at the college. I really need to do that, I have held it off for too long.So anyways, for over an hour now I have been studying and trying to figure out exactly what kind of schooling I need to accomplish this. Some of it seems foggy and the most important part of it, is what school do I go to for the four year degree in English? I'm still not sure about that one, though I am pretty set on going to the state college for the first two to cut costs and see if I can begin my studies for majoring in English. What I have discovered so far is:- 4 Year degree is required (JET programs/acceptance)
- Native English Speaker is a plus
- Have to obtain a Visa (obtained by 4 year degree)
- Not necessary to have a teaching degree because employers normally give you on the job training, skills necessary to teach
- Your employer normally pays for your Visa (or an English school)
- TESOL (teaching English Overseas certification) is a plus but not necessary
- There are many major chain schools such as AEON and ACC
- There many different types of positions such as ALT AND CIR
- Knowing Japanese is not necessary to teach English in Japan because the enviroment is not geared towards any Japanese speaking (although it's necessary for daily life-duh!)
I also found some information on costs and such too but that seems too broad to mention since it depends on the area. That is kind of all I have pieced together so now I need to:
- Decide on a 4 year degree (Thinking English though because it's general)
- Schedule meeting with DSC
- Discuss with my counselor after the DSC meeting
- Continue research
- Find adequate Japanese lessons
With foreign studies in general it is making me interested in the college in Miami, because they offer Japanese and Korean language studies. But, I am not so sure past that point because of course, everything is up in the air. I really need to speak to the college before I can say anything else.
Well, now that I atleast have a little idea of what I need to do and what to expect, I feel a little more excited. It seems very difficult and of course there are uncertainties and false hopes but it is still a goal or something to look into at the very least.

So, you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul,
instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.
You learn that you really can endure,
that you really are strong, and you really do have worth.
You learn and learn, with every goodbye you learn.
Scream your name
Your thoughts, and your cries. Be nice.
Tagboard here, I like shoutmix.com. It can be 100% in width, the height you can put it as whatever. Best if the style is "wide"
